Terms
Ordering from us
These are the terms between you and SpicyKlothing, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. Placing an order means you accept them.
Prices and currency
The catalogue is priced in naira; dollar and pound figures are a guide only. Every order is agreed and paid in naira on WhatsApp. The price shown is a starting point — the final price depends on the fabric you choose and is confirmed in the chat before anything is cut.
When an order is made
An order exists once payment succeeds and we send you a confirmation. Until then nothing is reserved. If a piece sells out between your adding it and paying, we will tell you and refund in full.
If a price is wrong
If a piece is listed at an obviously mistaken price, we may cancel and refund rather than fulfil it. We will contact you first and give you the option to pay the correct price instead.
Made-to-order pieces
You are responsible for the measurements you give us. If we cut to your numbers and the numbers were wrong, that is not a fault and a re-cut is chargeable. If we cut away from the numbers you gave, we re-cut at no charge and you keep the first piece.
Measurements taken from a photograph are an estimate. Check them against a tape before you order — the editable numbers exist for exactly that reason.
Hand-made and hand-dyed
Adire is dyed by hand and aso oke is woven by hand. Pattern, depth of colour and weave vary between pieces and from the photographs. This is the nature of the cloth and is not a defect.
Timing
Our timings are honest estimates, not guarantees. Couriers, public holidays and fuel scarcity all move dates. If a piece is going to be materially late we will tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund if it has not yet been cut.
Delivery and returns
Set out on the delivery and returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Tailor Studio
A design you submit stays yours. You give us only what is needed to quote for it and sew it. Submitting a design is not an order and nothing is charged until you approve a price. Renders are produced with open-weight models on our own machines and are an impression, not a photograph of the finished piece.
Where we cannot help
We are liable for the order itself — repairing, re-cutting or refunding a piece. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as an event you missed. Nothing here removes rights you have under Nigerian consumer law, or under your own country's law where it applies.
Changes
These terms may change. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you ordered.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
